Meet TFC’s New Executive Director

Greetings,

My name is Gabrielle Clary and I am excited to announce my appointment by our Board of Directors as the new Interim Executive Director for The Fashion Connection.  I would like to personally thank our founder Rebecca Ballard, our first Executive Director, for trusting me with TFC and for sharing her wisdom and knowledge as I transitioned into this new role. Rebecca will remain with TFC as a member of our Board, where we can still glean from her expertise and shared vision for the organization.

I first joined The Fashion Connection as a member of the Advisory Circle in 2021, I moved to the Board of Directors in 2022, and I have been serving TFC as President of the Board. Before my time with TFC I was a founding member of the DC Sustainable Fashion Collective, where we hosted an annual sustainable fashion conference. Outside of my work in Sustainable Fashion, I work in Corporate Responsibility at the World Bank and I DJ with an art collective. 

Going into this position my focus is development from the inside out. I will be advancing our fundraising and organizational culture. I believe in walking the talk and implementing our values when it comes to supporting the individuals who help run TFC. We attract amazing talent, and I want us to be able to appropriately compensate those who dedicate their time and effort towards TFC. I look forward to working with and engaging our community in this endeavor.
